The University of Calgary West Campus Development Plan is a critical component to the future expansion of the University and the location of the New Alberta Children’s Hospital. Addressing the needs of the adjacent communities as the facility expands is one of the goals driving future development. The West Campus will be composed of a new Alberta Children’s Hospital, medical research facilities, student housing, conference centres and a network of green spaces and sports fields. Planning for the new campus was facilitated through a number of visioning sessions and community forums. |

The JIBC Maple Ridge Campus is a unique fire and safety training centre located in a naturally
forested rural area. As master planners for the campus, our team prepared a plan that accommodates teaching
training props and support buildings with the idea of creating a "rural village" scale and ambience. |

A feasibility study of 3 storey high technology tenant buildings on the BCIT campus. Total floor area of the entire complex is comprised of one 43,000 sf building and two 34,000 sf
buildings. The first building was completed March, 2000. Challenges included accommodating parking needs as well as integrating into the existing campus. |

This business park is on 28 acres of land along the shore of the Fraser River in Burnaby. The property was owned by Atkinson Canada, and occupied by
Commonwealth Construction, IWS, and other firms. This design was for the development of the business park to accommodate additional high technology based industries. |

The new KAON Factory at the University of British Columbia was to be located at
the existing TRIUMF site but would have involved a massive enlargement of the
existing Meson Facility, undertaking particle physics research utilizing an
underground accelerator ring. On completion, the facility would have been one of
only two pion therapy locations in the world and would have kept Canada in the
forefront of world intermediate energy research. |
