The new Canmore Civic Centre is a 2-storey facility that houses the Town Municipal offices and the Canmore Museum and Geo-Science Center. The building has achieved a Silver LEED™ Certification by integrating green building initiatives including site design, massing and orientation, energy modeling, passive solar heating, natural day lighting, energy efficient mechanical/electrical systems, recycled and renewable construction materials.
Designed as a joint use facility, the Canmore Museum and GeoScience Center shares conference rooms, classrooms, and office/staff facilities with the Civic Center, including integrated exhibitions in the ‘Interior Street’, exterior Public Plaza and public lobby. Innovative and creative display design solutions for permanent exhibitions and displays are integrated with the architectural design. |

Building upon the sustainable legacy initiated in the Municipal Plan and the Downtown Revitalization Public Space Design Guidelines, the Municipal Center shall be the principal administrative, social and spiritual centre for the Town, serving as a symbol of community aspirations, a multipurpose facility, and a public meeting place that serves to address the Town’s evolving and changing identity.
The scope of work includes the complete renovation of an existing downtown office building, with new construction of the Council Chamber and Town Square. |

Located at the entrance to the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) campus, the Centre’s design
includes; a triple-court gym, indoor track, 2 multi-use indoor fields, physiotherapy and sport medicine/athlete testing and research facilities. The program
includes concessions/retail spaces, a weight training room & will interface with the existing cross-county ski trail system. Northern Sport and Centre Consortium (NSCC), consists of Giffels Partnership Solutions Inc. as the lead firm, Giffels Design-Build Inc. (GDBI), NORR Limited, our associate Chernoff Thompson Architects (CTA) and Western Industrial Contractors Ltd. |

The new 73,150 sm facilities consisting of a 5,100 seat spectator sports and entertainment facility and a second ice pad, will become a link to tie existing facilities together and will increase the capacity of the overall complex to enhance its status as the 2nd largest trade and convention centre in British Columbia. The facility is being delivered through a design, build, operate & manage process where our Associate, Chernoff Thompson Architects, is collaborating with Giffels Partnership Solutions, Norr Limited, and Global Spectrum. |

This 2,476 sm project is an upgrade to an old hotel at 1261 Granville to provide 82 SRO housing units. The work includes numerous fire and safety upgrades to the
old building and adding private washrooms to all units, and in some cases converting three units to two larger units. The upgraded facility includes a new
hotel lobby and lounge for the residents. The ground floor retail spaces are upgraded to accommodate a higher quality of tenant, as well as providing low
income accommodation. |

Located at 42 East Cordova St, this City of Vancouver project involves the renovation of an existing 1910-era heritage building. At a cost of $1.29 million,
the building has been converted into social housing, with 65 single room occupancies. |
| Gresham Hotel Renovation - Vancouver, BC | |

The project began with a feasibility study of the existing 1,510 sm hotel building and retail commercial space at grade. The building is owned by the City of
Vancouver. Alternative concepts for conversion into low income residential with upgraded retail space for lease were explored. The
construction was completed in July 1993 and provides affordable, good quality housing for low income single people. The project received an
Urban Development Institute affordable housing award. |
